The mod works great - now I can actually produce a decent acceleration without having to change grip halfway through
So definitively worth it - especially considering cost (virtually zero) and speed - takes about 20 minutes to do.

A bit old this post - but have only today tried it out :) I made my own though - easily done by using a cutout from a 2-inch diameter plastic tube. With a bit of filing etc. it fits OK. From the grip side drill a small hole and countersink it for a locating screw to hold it in place (this is for saf...

ok thanks for the info, but I believe that on mine the sound is coming from the collector box below the gearbox (sorry, should have mentioned that in the OP )

R1100S - Rattle in exhaust
hello there :) was on an extended trip over the weekend in Germany and noticed a rattle from the xorst when riding on bumpy roads... It doesnt look like anything external is loose - so I was wondering if the insides could have rusted apart? Anybody here have any experience on the matter? cheers, :) ...

thanks for the nice welcome :) yup, bike looks OK - there was no point in bringing a rust-bucket to Denmark, as it costs a f..ing fortune to get it registered here (I will practically pay for it once again to get the plates...) :evil: And got the tupperware off - am now gonna empty the tank before r...
