Various BCR bits for sale....

Decided that I need a GSA 1200 back in my life. Having found one, I'm p/exing both my VFR1200F and BCR and so have a number of items from the BCR for sale so am offering them here to any interested parties. The only potential issue is if they find issues with the BCR next week that means they change...

R1100S Exhaust accelerator

Came across an exhaust accelerator kit for the R1100S on the Pelican Parts site. Made by San Jose BMW. Looked well made as is the air filter housing I've already got fitted. Wondered if anyone had (has?) any experience of this bolt on? It is designed to smooth gas flow into the headers by all accoun...

2003 Boxer Cup front suspension wishbone

I want to refurbish the front wishbone on my 2003 BCR Randy Mamola model. Thought I would quicken up the job by buying a second hand one, getting it refurbed and then remove the current one and replace with the refurbed one in one go so I can still use the bike as much as possible. Can anyone confir...

Re: Carol Nash to Bennetts after 4 years with Carol Nash

Had similar poor response from Carole Nash when I looked to renew my current policy. I've got 4 bikes ranging from my BCR to a K1200LT. Their renewal was much higher than expected, especially when I searched other insurers. I eventually renewed with BeWiser who were very good but it seems, as with a...

Remus exhaust fitting problem.

Not long fitted a Full Remus exhaust system with twin pipes to the silencers. Was sure the cans were not sitting far enough back on the pins under the rear of the bike and couldn't get the exhaust springs on as the distance was too great. Copious amounts of wriggling, gentle tapping with a rubber ma...

Testing the market - 2003 Randy Mamola BCR

I may be being seduced by a red Honda VFR1200. If I decide to go for it, my BCR will need to be sold. The bike is a 2003 Twin spark model with ABS. I have fitted the following upgrades - Full Remus exhaust system with 2-2 pipe work Nitron suspension front and rear. Rear adjustable for preload (hydra...

Re: when you buy a bike......

For what it's worth, I would - - improve / optimise the handling for you the rider so you can use what you already have in the engine more, for longer. Better shocks, tyres and get the bike set up. - IF appropriate, lose a few pounds by keeping off of the pies! - IF budgets allow, Carbon or lightwei...
