I've been in the position to have BMW service my r1100s, now I'm not. I'm pretty much cool with everything and even though it's a 36k service all the major work was carried out at 30k. A rather soggy run saw my Speedo gradually fail, bounce limply a couple of time and then stop altogether. While I don't suspect the weather got into the sender I'm wondering if the can be cleaned up? Right, taking a chance and gong straight for the stick coils. After much trawling this sounds like the most likely. I'm away from home and am pretty m check limited to the tools in the bike.
