Re: In search of mythical items! R1200S bits

Hello, Try http://www.slipscreens.co.uk and see if they can help. They made me some about 2 years ago - Maybe they still have some old stock or can knock you one up? As for panniers thats going to be a difficult one and even if you find them they will be very expensive as (I think) they are unique t...

Re: Immobiliser battery

Hello,

If it is a BMW unit immobiliser/alarm unit combined as fitted to my R1200S then there is an internal quite specific battery within. Not sure what it is - took mine out to find out!

Hope that helps?

Best regards,

David  :thumbleft:

Re: Indicator not working?

Hello, Well it's fixed.... So I had only tested for power after turning the ignition on with the indicator connected, the fault presented and there was no pulsing power feed. This led me to think there was a break somewhere further down the feed. For some reason this morning I turned ignition on as ...

Re: Indicator not working?

To update…. LAMPF applies to all front lights including the indicator. All bulbs are fine and tested. There is just no power coming through the near side indicator by way of a pulse to flash the bulb. This pulse is present on the off side. Tried swapping the “bad” indicator side to the “good” side a...

Re: Indicator not working?

Thanks Steve. I was thinking that might be the best course of action and yes it is an R1200S! I’ve owned it long enough to know! :D I don’t believe there is a traditional fuse box on the bike anyway so will keep looking and if I don’t uncover it then a wire from back to front it is although whether ...

Indicator not working?

Hello, Strange one with my R1200S…. Near side front indicator wont work.Changed with known good bulb made no difference. Then tested cable for incoming power feed and nothing! Checked offside power cable and it had a flashing power feed as you would expect. I don’t think there is a fuse box on the R...

Re: Great ride out last Sunday but didn’t end well..

Popsky, I have some 53 Omologato watches starting way back with a Hesketh. I know Shami the founder very well and often get very special invitations. They are affordable watches and I often regard myself as the unofficial Omologato librarian. Sadly since retirement I am having to restrict my purchas...

Great ride out last Sunday but didn’t end well..

Hello, Great road out on Sunday with a fine group of lads but after I had peeled off to ride my own route home a sheep jumped me and I went down and ended up in a ditch. With some passer by assistance I was somehow able to ride 12 painful miles home probably fuelled by adrenalin? A trip to A&E f...
