petrol splashes and other nonsense....

when filling up last week i ended up with bit of a 'spurter' and
some splashes of petrol ended up on the black plastic surfaces
on the rear of the front indicators - ie either side of the dash/clocks.
i washed it off with water straight away - but it seems to have made
the black surface go ...

i have just got - i assume the right-hand end of the swingarm pivot is
behind the small plate (with 4no. bolts) and that it is ok to remove said
plate to insert the tapered pin of the stand...? or am i mssing something?
why have they put a ...

really pleased with it.
couple of questions so far...
a. is the tool kit supposed to contain the cranked wheel nut wrench?
mine doesn't.
b. are the setting for 'standard' suspension (ie damping/preload) - the
same for ...

i've gone and done it....
guys
spent a while on the 2004 BCR yesterday.
what can i say? loved it. really.
sounds dumb but it is somewhere in between the
GS and the crushingly uncomfortable SP1!
it felt really 'planted'. really confidence inspiring.
panniers (sorry again) and alarm being fitted this week.
hurrah!

anymore - i don't get to do as many miles as i used to - work/travel/dog
have all conspired to keep me off the damned things.
