Re: Wanted - R12S alternator
Were there any extras like VAT and import duty added on that you had to pay prior to taking delivery? Just be interesting to know in advance what the final price is before ordering. There are a lot of tempting bits over there. Yes, I paid $53 for the alternator and with import duty and shipping it ...

Alternator-tive way of removing my alternator
Hi everyone, I just changed the alternator on my R12S and I wanted to share my learning. I had read and seen prior to this that people were saying you had to remove the alternator by removing the front shock and bringing it out that way, however, I found with a bit of careful manoeuvring, I could ge...

Wanted - R12S alternator
Hi,
I am after a Denso 40A (part number 12.31-2 306 280). Has anyone got one for sale, please? I tried Motorworks, but they didn't have one in stock when I checked, same with Sherlocks
Thanks
Steve

Re: R1200S Starter motor replacement
Thanks for all of the advice, guys. I saw the Ebay unit, but it looked a bit tired, I did read that some people had fitted an RT unit on an S, I thought there would be more info on the web, but there wasn't. I have found an Arrowhead SVA0005 unit from the US that fits an R1200S 2006, mine is on a 20...

Re: Bike turning over slowly
I got the bike to run by jumping it from my car, it took a few turns to fire it up, but it runs fine now, i guess Ieft it too long between runs, lesson learned!

Re: Bike turning over slowly
Thanks, fortunately the bike has stayed dry, so that’s not an issue. I’m thinking either poor earthing or degraded starter motor, maybe.

Bike turning over slowly
Hi, Looking for so help! I tried turning over my R1200S after a few weeks of non-activity and the engine turned over really slowly, then stopped, after trying to charge it, with no success, I changed the battery, but still not luck.
