I would say it sounds like a fuel issue. I presume you were only at low revs each time it cut out. As Tim says, if it has never had it's fuel filter changed in 7 years, you should do it.

Hi all,

I,ve discovered a broken wire in my speedo cable connector under the seat. It's not the side that connects to the pick-up in final drive but the other side. Anyway, here's a photo (I hope-my first time).
