Re: HP2 Sport

Different mirrors, different bars, fuel gizmo from Sandbar a few other things. Just under 7000 miles. It’s the original colour scheme. Yep, I stuck it on eBay, soon to expire. From there: “Registered March 2010. I am the third keeper. Owned for the last 7 years. V5, books and tools present. it’s alm...

R1100S for sale.

I can’t quite believe that I’m doing this and will probably regret it for the rest of my life as I thought I would be put 6 foot under with the bike. Not used since before Covid and unlikely to get used this summer as my future plans are to leave the UK for at least a couple of years, possibly not r...

Boxer Cup & Alt-Berg boots.

Bought back in the day, ‘99 I think. They are the blue and white boxercup colours used in the support racing series. Randy Mamola stylee size 9/43. I only wore them for a short while as the fitting is too narrow for my feet to be comfortable. A few marks here and there. The white insides have yellow...

Crit'Air

It’s a French thing. In many places. Old bikes not welcome. I know Birmingham has recently introduced emission restrictions which is of no consequence to me as I avoid the city centre. But France seems to be going crazy on such matters, many cities and more to come. All being well next summer I’m pl...

E10. Don’t panic ...

On the government site, E10 works on all Motorrad bikes. Do we believe them? Not long until it’s here so I’ve been trying to educate myself. That’ll be a first!
I might just buy the premium as it only has 5% of whatever it is in it.
None of my cars will run on it and I think my strimmer is ditto.

Re: BMW R1100S in Spain

Looks a nice bike Gerry. It’s on a Spanish plate? I’m trying to learn the various rules and regulations on everything from buying a pad in Spain to keeping/riding a UK bike there (or a local bike). My understanding is that I can’t ride a foreign bike that belongs to me on my UK licence. Otherwise I ...

Re: Handlebars

Great information Magic Man, thanks, most helpful. It sounds very much like I thought. I have seen the LSL ones on eBay. Good to know they are okay. Where do the GS mirrors fit into and where were the blanking plates bought? I already have lowered the pegs a few summers ago. So much more comfortable...

Handlebars

I have seen a few bikes advertised for sale with replacement handlebars. The long one that goes on top of the yoke and then angled upwards. Tons of these kits on eBay. I can’t recall any talk about them on here, anyone tried one or has one on their bike? I’m guessing they allow you to sit more uprig...

The cat can’t understand why I’m always around. I think I’m getting on his nerves.
The bike needs a few things doing to it but it’s still far too cold to venture into the garage. Roll on my jab and warmer weather!

Re: We are back!

Hey Paul, it’s not time yet to put DNR on this site. Plenty of life in it for the years to come. It has been many years  since I last made my one and only contribution to the site. Having no idea of running costs, would it be in order to ask you what would be a helpful contribution from a poor...
