Re: Norton no more / update superbike part 2
Certainly seems to be. TVS put out a press release yesterday and have issued TUPE notics to the Norton employees apparently. As an $8 billion company that's not Chinese this can only be good news for the brand surely.

Re: Norton no more
I live a mile from Norton and the failure of Norton has nothing to do with the government allowing it to fail, or the tax man pulling the rug from under them for "only £300,000". Stuart Garner has simply been spinning too many plates and robbing Peter to pay Paul. The sums involved is not ...

Re: Shock Factory.
I put Shock Factory shocks on my Bonneville three years ago after having issues with some Hagons I'd tried, since then I've put them on on my wife's Ducati Scrambler two years ago, and now have one on her R NineT as well. I got them from Winding Roads , they ordered them up to the spec we requested ...

Re: In Crown court tomorrow.
Thanks for the update, I truly hope that the verdict has brought your wife some feelings that justice has been served and that it helps bring her some closure and comfort in what must have been a terrible ordeal throughout the years as well as the case itself, that thankfully most of us never get to...

Re: Photobucket Problem
The ST was my first BMW, I bought the one in the photo a few years ago, and sold it earlier this year, it was a lovely bike, but I hardly rode it.

Re: Photobucket Problem
For a cheap (free) alternative, put your photo's into a private album on Facebook (so anyone on there can't see them, and they don't appear in your timeline), and then link to them on here. Remember to re-size them before uploading otherwise they'll be too big for the forum. In true Blue Peter fashi...

Re: Drool
A few laps round a smooth circuit is not a real world test no matter what your lap times were or how great a rider you are. The big heavy Griso does not handle well and that is a fact. The suspension is shxte and no amount of tweaking or replacing with Carlos Fandango bits will change that. I bough...

Re: Drool
I'm sure some will disagree, but I cannot help but think that BMW took some styling cue's from Guzzi https://image.ibb.co/iVn1Ua/untitled.png https://image.ibb.co/fon72v/images_N9_GZEZ7_P.jpg I don't disagree, I thought that as soon as I saw the NineT as well.

Re: Drool
Big guzzis do not handle very well at all. Don`t take my word for it see for yourself :( I have seen for myself, and it was not my impression at all. I did a track day at Donington on my Griso SE and it never put a foot wrong, and for context I've ridden Donington on at least 10 different bikes ove...

Re: Drool
I've had a Griso 8V and a 1200 Sport. The Griso was the much nicer bike of the two.

Re: BMW Naked Roadster comparison
............I also believe that some of it is a backlash against the over complexity, and pointless performance of modern machines. Why else have bikes like the R NINE T, Ducati Scrambler, Triumph Bonneville etc been such huge hits. People want bikes to look and feel like bikes. In a way, the curre...

Re: Help with R65LS Value
I imagine this is going to be difficult to give a definitive answer. You obviously know what you paid for it a year ago, so unless you think you got it for a real song, then the value is likely to be somewhere around what you paid give or take a few quid. There is one for sale now for £3200 ono, wh...

Re: Helping Fellow Bikers
I too started riding in 1982, and back then I remember even as a learner on my little 100cc, other riders gave me a wave. Can you imagine that happening now. Yep, I always nod to young riders on L plates, whether on a bike or a scooter. But then I'm even older than you are, so maybe old fashioned i...
