Unfortunately had an accident on the way to work this morning.
Not sure if its going to be an economic write-off - its Y reg and plenty of front end body damage from sliding under bumper of car in front.
The excellent man with van, Derrick, who came to pick up the remains said buy it back off ...

Failed LH heated grip
On my Y reg 1100s, the left hand heated grip has given up. I commute daily and havejust started using it again this last week or so. They symptom started with it warming up more slowly and as of yesterday, no heat at all.

Test rode one at Vines last month and didn't like either the engine sounding like a bag of bolts nor the belt drive - enough to put me off what I thought would be a great replacement for my 1100s as I mainly commute now.

I wonder if I can get some advice. My 2001 S has just passed the 10,500 mile mark and is developing a mild oil habit. From other posts, I was expecting oil consumption to fall at this point.
