Re: Anyone here into watches
I love my Omega Speedmaster Professional. I love the history behind it, and the NASA connection. It's an old fashioned mechanical manual wind chronograph. I decided early on that if I was going to spend serious money on a watch, I wanted cogs, springs and wheels, not a battery and circuit board. It...

hmm never mind, its done now :D I have had my swing arm bearings replaced for the first time at 66k, and due to some sort of cock up and the lhs one collapsing, had to have it replaced last week, along with the pivot pin, at 69,200 miles. Facepalm. Having taken it all to bits the mechanic said the r...

Forget me if I am wrong but a big service woud be: Oil / Filter Gerabox and bevel box oil change Air Filter Spark plugs Alternator belt Valve clearnces Pads if required. If you can do the work yourself the parts are less than £100 or a little more with pads) So nothing out of the ordinary then. I'm...

Thanks Dai and Steve for the info on the hall sensor. What i have got at the moment is no power at all. I am thinking ignition lock, battery terminals, big power cable chafed/earthed or main fuse or something like that. The neutral light started to flicker at the traffic lights this morning, the eng...

Having done all the above in my last post, i couldn't find any problem. Put it back together and could not replicate the fault. That was during the week. So today I wheeled it out of the garage, started it up and it spluttered and cut out again while warming up on fast idle. Same as before. Having w...

i have had a bit of a head scratch today and played a bit. There is definitely a misfire during warm up on the rh cylinder lasting 1 to 2 seconds. Its possible to see the intake pipe to the cylinder chugging and vibrating. Tickover is lumpy, pick up from idle is lethargic and lumpy. I took off one s...
