slparry mentions that he understood the RoSPA Gold is the same as the police Class 1 without the high speed pursuit.

PS One cop suggested that a RoSPA Gold driver wouldn't be at the standard of an 'ordinary' police driver, but my experience would put doubt on that statement!!

Here's my view of the IAM/RoSPA debate from my experience as having passed the IAM test, been an IAM Observer, passed RoSPA Gold test for Car and Bike, been a RoSPA Tutor and a Chairman for a local RoSPA group (I'm not trying to big myself up, just giving you an idea of what I've done), some of whic...

Oh Yeah, well spotted! The CAT is in the loft, it's got the splitter fitted instead. The cans are standard as far as I am aware.

R1100s Possibly for sale?!

Chaps I'm hardly using this, only done 65miles this year!! I would be upset to see it go but there's no point me keeping it in the garage whilst it loses value. Anyone got an idea of what it's worth? July (I think) 2004 reg, FSH (part BMW), great condition, 38K (ish), all bog standard apart from car...

Roadar (Rospa) Groups provide free training. I know one guy with a Diploma who charges 150quid a day, but currently does not do the training through an organised Roadar group. As you mentioned Stoney, an IAM pass is generally regarded as a Rospa Bronze. However, if you do well on the IAM test you wi...

I'm not a Scot, but a Yorkshireman, which is close enough (A Yorkshireman's a Scot, but with all the generosity squeezed out of him!) As an alternative, you could try these fellas http://www.edinburghrospa.org.uk/ Cheaper than the IAM, and more likely a higher standard of tuition.
