Strip off all the bling (extra decals look tatty IMO), sell the bling off separately and put the bike back to standard. Oh, and reduce the price !

Had a chat Jon at Revs in UK earlier. The Wilbers 630 model is standard for the front (no variants), but there are 3 options for the rear, depending on adjustability, these are the 640, 641 & 643. Think Mitch has posted up the range topper 643.

Need to get rider weights to Revs, so will advise ...

Suspect they could be rebuilt, but the quality of the Wilbers is more superior to the stock OEM items.

The OEMs have been on the bike since I bought it new in 2004, so past there best.

Has anyone fitted a set of Wilbers to a 2004 BCR ? If so, would you know what part numbers were used ? Need to change the standard shocks as they are passed their best, so interested to know ...

Hope it produces some further customers for you. I will certainly be dipping into the piggy bank when i get back from the desert. Particularly happy that the slipper clutch appears to be working well.

Nige is, of course, correct. The cranking ability of the standard battery with a hot engine is not great. In the early days of ownership, i had a problem with the bike cutting out regularly - when hot - and then of course, was a bugger to re-start. Thumbing ...
